About the pack

Jeremy Ratliff/ Joseph Allen / DC Wolf

Bio: Black Wolf is a 3 piece Hard Rock band with an eclectic mix of many different styles of music, with blues and funk blended into a hard driving rock sound. The originals kick with a Marshall/BadCat tube amp leading the sound with harmony leads, crunching chords, nice vocal harmonies, bass lines, and groove drumming. Our lyrics are alpha wolf based. The band takes its inspiration from different artists ranging from Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Van Halen, Whitesnake, and Jimi Hendrix.

DC Wolf: As an All State vocalist in high school and recipient of the senior “most talented” award DC has been playing guitar for 36 years, a veteran guitar player he plays all styles of music. Although a rocker at heart, he earned his degree in Jazz guitar from Kennesaw State. In 2006 he made it to the 3rd round of the national guitar competition “Guitarmegeddon.” His influences include; Edward Van Halen, Randy Rhodes, Vivian Campbell, Stevie Ray Vaughn, David Gilmore, and Warren DeMartini. DC has written a book on How To Play Guitar.

Jeremy Ratliff: Jeremy came from a musically talented family and has been playing for over 20 years.  He was first introduced to guitar and keyboards by his father but then found a love for bass.  He played with bands through high school and soon after spent almost 10 years in Nashville, TN playing for various artists traveling across the country.  After moving back to East TN he played in bands regionally.  Some of his influences are Tom Hamilton, Flea, and Louis Johnson.

Joseph Alan:  Drummer/percussionist with early influences from classical and theatrical music.  Although somewhat sheltered from music deemed inappropriate he found a love for Rock/Hard Rock at an early age.  Music groups like Iron Maiden, Kiss, Ozzy and Rush began to steer his musical interest in a different direction.  A self taught pianist at the age of 11, he began a more formal musical education in the public school systems of West Texas, and in 1984 excelling in knowledge and skill. He was also awarded national membership as one the top 1% trumpet players in the country at the age of 14.  Today, most inspirational drumming influences include the late Neil Peart, Travis Barker, Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins to name a few.
